As you begin your services, you will need to have a clear service offering for your Clients. This will help you categorize each cleaning and provide accurate pricing estimates for the Client’s needs. Based on your market research, you will price your services based on above market rate averages.
Providing accurate quotes and estimates is essential for managing expectations and providing quality service to your Clients. Providing poor estimates will create problems for your Clients and Cleaners and your business. We will outline the various factors that go into a Cleaning Estimate.
Note: Since this is a fully remote business, we will not be going to our Client’s homes to provide Cleaning quotes. It is not the best use of our time and resources, however that means it is extremely important to do your due diligence over the phone prior.
Service Level Packages will determine the increase in scope of work, time of the cleaning and ultimately the price increase of the service. Below are the three services that I recommend starting out for your business that are industry standard in terms of categorization.
Standard Cleaning: This is a standard maintenance cleaning that covers the basic essentials of someone’s home. It is shorter in time frame and typically geared towards recurring cleaning services.
Deep Cleaning: A more time intensive and thorough cleaning than the standard and includes a few other additional items (i.e. baseboards etc.) as part of the cleaning. Typically reserved for Client’s that are getting their first cleaning or have built up dirtiness across their whole place.
Move In/Out Cleaning: A cleaning specialized for tenant turnover. This includes everything inside the house including inside the refrigerator, inside the oven, inside the cabinets etc.
